Sarissa Biomedical

Sarissa Biomedical was spun out from the University of Warwick to commercialise pioneering biosensor technologies developed by Professor Nick Dale.  Its patented technology delivers a step change in enzymatic biosensor sensitivity and selectivity to detect and measure biomarkers in finger-prick blood sample within minutes, using low cost, single use biosensors and handheld readers.

This new generation of biosensors is set to transform emergency clinical care creating Point-of-Care (PoC) diagnostic solutions not previously possible.

Our first application is stroke where the device is in final clinical trials expected to be completed in 2016 and CE marked product being available early 2017.

Sarissa is targeting the PoC in vitro diagnostic market and is working on other diagnostic applications in several major diseases areas.
